PMI Austria Forum Day 2026 - Power Skills: Lead People, Win Projects
On 2nd and 3rd of November 2026, the PMI Austria Forum Day 2026 will bring together everyone interested in the future of project management - from experienced project professionals and leaders to students, aspiring project managers and those looking to expand their skills and network.
Under the topic “Power Skills: Lead People, Win Projects”, the event explores the human capabilities that make the difference in successful projects. In an increasingly AI-driven world, leadership, communication, collaboration and the ability to connect with people remain essential skills for turning project challenges into successful outcomes. The two-day event combines focused learning, inspiring perspectives and practical insights into modern project leadership.
Day 1 - Master Classes | 2 November 2026 | 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
The Master Classes offer an exclusive opportunity for focused, hands-on learning in a small-group setting. Two parallel four-hour sessions allow participants to explore selected leadership topics in greater depth, going well beyond the main conference program through interaction, reflection, and practical application.
The Master Classes are led by internationally recognized experts:
- Master Class 1: Stuart Easton - Beyond Delivery: How PMOs Drive Benefits and Strategic Value
- Master Class 2: Alexander Kagl - From Delivery to Value: The Project Manager as Strategic Partner for Project Success
Day 2 - Forum Day | 3 November 2026 | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The Forum Day continues with inspiring keynotes, international speakers, practical case studies and engaging discussions on how Power Skills shape successful project leadership in practice. Participants will gain new perspectives, learn from experts, exchange experiences with peers and connect with members of the wider project management community.
NEW this year: Participants are invited to join the Evening Reception - an informal get-together designed to continue the conversations, exchange ideas and build new connections within the project management community. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, inspiring conversations, and valuable networking opportunities with speakers, participants and fellow project enthusiasts.
Join the PMI community for a unique two-day experience that combines inspiration, learning and networking - helping participants strengthen their skills, expand their perspective, and discover new ways to create impact through projects.

FEBRUARY 3
Drucker Salon in Riyadh
hosted in collaboration with Steelcase Inc. and Diom Holding Company
Date: 3rd February 2026
Location: DIOM X – ALZALLAL, DIRIYAH
Topic: Human Magic - Leading with Wisdom in an Age of Algorithms
This intimate gathering will bring together leading executives and academics to explore the future of management in a rapidly evolving world. The event will be kicked off by a keynote by Prof. Johan Roos, followed by a moderated group discussion. The topic will focus on leaders worldwide reporting a troubling pattern: AI makes them faster but more passive, more efficient but less reflective. They find themselves managing algorithmic outputs rather than making strategic decisions. Research confirms their intuition: AI users demonstrate measurably lower brain engagement and weakened independent thinking. Drawing on his research on leading in the age of AI, Johan Roos will present the core framework from his forthcoming book Human Magic (Routledge, 2026): A methodology for strengthening five human capabilities that no algorithm can replicate. The question is not "Will AI replace us?" but rather: "How do we deliberately cultivate our human capabilities that make us irreplaceable partners with AI, not replaceable operators of it?” Subsequently, there will be time for networking.
This is an exceptional opportunity to engage in high-calibre dialogue and expand your network within an exclusive circle of thought-leaders.
We look forward to an inspiring afternoon of meaningful conversations and fruitful exchange.
