Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) offer a well-developed railway network and modern trains that carry you to Vienna in safety and comfort. Vienna can also be easily reached by train from further afield.

Quickly find your train to Vienna:

From Vienna-Schwechat Airport to the city centre

The taxis use the same outside location as the buses (see below). They usually cost something like €36 into Vienna. Another option is, of course, a car sharing service or book yourself an Uber, for example.

When arrive at the airport, simply walk right to find a ramp that leads you down directly to the train station under the terminal.   You can buy your ticket either at the ÖBB (Austrian railways) ticket office or machines which are located under the terminal.  A display board gives departure times for all trains leaving the airport for Vienna and elsewhere. Down the ramp, you quickly reach platforms 1-2 for the trains.

Just ahead of you as you exit airport arrivals, slightly to the left and right, are corridor exits to outside the terminal. The bus stops are immediately outside. The Vienna Airport Lines run various services to different destinations in Vienna. You can find more information on their website
