Volunteers put together supplies for science teachers using Tupperware Forget Me Nots to represent the earth. The Forget Me Nots will be used by science teachers in the tri-county area to teach students about the earth's structure, composition, temperature, and history. Volunteers also assisted by restocking and organizing supplies that will be used by teachers in the tri-county area at no cost to them or their schools. This "Free Store" also provides essential classroom tools such as pencils, notebooks, glue, backpacks, art supplies and books for local students in need.
The reading room at Pace Center became an even more inviting and productive place after volunteers refurbished the room and replaced student tables, chairs, teachers' desks, and filing cabinets with furniture donated by Tupperware Brands. The Pace Center helps girls ages 12 to 18 that have been identified as dependent, truant, runaway, delinquent, or in need of academic skills. Volunteers and girls worked together on art projects which were used to decorate the reading room. During lunch provided by Tupperware, some of the girls shared their experiences and talked about the impact the Pace Center has made in their lives.
Volunteers "Tupperized" the Beta Center Kitchen, which is currently used by twelve young families. The Beta Center focuses on healthy parenting, teen moms, and at-risk families with a goal of increasing healthy family functioning and preventing child abuse and neglect. Volunteers transferred perishable foods into Tupperware containers and customized each cubby. Worn containers were replaced with Tupperware microwaveable containers and volunteers trained the staff on proper use of products. The kitchen was also decorated in a fall theme and "Tupperized" with the latest microfiber towels, Essence soaps, and candlelight.
