Drucker Challenge Essay Contest 2025: Announcement of the Theme

We are delighted to announce the 16th edition of the Peter Drucker Challenge

Essay Contest.

This year’s Peter Drucker Challenge is dedicated to the memory of social philosopher Charles Handy. We encourage you to explore how his The Second Curve philosophy helps to address change.

Students, managers and entrepreneurs aged 18-35 from around the globe are cordially invited to submit an essay on this year’s theme

Give us your ideas and reflections on personal and/or professional experience with the Second Curve. Show how this concept can be of value to our lives and our business.

Why is it important to start a new curve before the old one ends?

How can individuals identify the right moment to transition to their Second Curve, be it in life or at work?

What kind of mindset and which competences are needed to choose the right moment to embrace change and new opportunities in your personal and/or professional life?

How can the Second Curve concept help with personal growth?

How can Stoic or any other philosophy, concept or set of principles, be of value?

What would be YOUR quote?

Since 2010 the Peter Drucker Society Europe has provided award winners with scholarships

to achieve higher levels of exchange, mutual learning, intercultural understanding at the Global Peter Drucker Forum.

The contest is designed to complement and enrich the multi-generational exchange of views and ideas at the Global Peter Drucker Forum, the 17^th edition of which will take place as an in-person event on November 6 and 7, 2025, in Vienna/Austria (pre-conference day: Nov. 5). Registration is open
