Biography

Charles-Edouard Bouée is the Chief Operating Officer of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, member of its Global Executive Committee and President of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants Asia. He joined the firm as a Senior Partner in the Paris office, where he headed the Financial Services and Utility & Energy Competence Centers as well as the firm's private equity activities. Mr. Bouée began his career at Société Générale as an investment banker in Paris and London. Prior to joining Roland Berger, he was Vice President of another leading strategy consulting firm from 1997 to 2001. Mr. Bouée has been involved in projects in Europe, the Middle East, America and Asia, working mainly on strategy, mergers and acquisitions and large-scale performance improvement projects.

Mr. Bouéeis an economic advisor to the French Government (Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur) on China, and a member of the Shanghai board of the European Chamber of Commerce, where he has promoted cooperation among member companies, governments and business communities in both China and Europe.

Mr. Bouée's new book "Light Footprint Management: Leadership in times of change" was published by Bloomsbury Publishing in 2013.

Mr. Boueé has written various publications on Chinese markets and management. His new book on the "Light footprint approach" has recently been published together with Bloomsbury, answering the question: "What can managers in today’s uncertain, unimaginably complex world learn from President Obama’s military doctrine and the Chinese management style?"
