1988 - 1991 German Federal Minister of Economics
1991 - 2002 parliamentary speaker for European Affairs and International Policy
Since 1991 member of the German government´s foreign trade Advisory Board
Since 1997 Founder and Member of the Board of Governors, Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)
Business career:
1968 - 1971 Managing partner of a medium-sized company in Bad Urach
presently Vice President at Capgemini Deutschland Holding GmbH (since 1991),
member of several national Advisory Committees and international Boards of Directors
Academic career:
Since 1996 Professor for International Management at university Erlangen-Nuremberg
Since 2009 professor for International Business at university Tuebingen
