The current global crisis is twofold: health care infrastructures are overwhelmed by the spread of COVID-19 while locked-down economies teeter on the edge of a severe downturn. The stakes are unbelievably high in terms of human and social cost. Overcoming this crisis will demand leadership of the best kinds across all manner of institutions: political, business, government, and nonprofit.
The 2020 Global Peter Drucker Forum will take place
October 29–30 (with pre-conference specials October 28), and the plan remains for it to be in-person in Vienna, with a livestream also supporting enhanced remote engagement. The options for registration will be announced in our April newsletter.
This year the focus is on the big questions of leadership, which become all the more essential in a crisis-stricken world. The months to come will be a difficult time: leaders will be called upon as never before to bring hope and inspire collective efforts. The Forum has always been dedicated to advancing human progress through effective management of institutions. This year, looking at management through the lens of leadership, we will try to contribute to the positive energy required to get the world back on track.
