Biography

Judith is the founder of innovation agency Takeout, a company that works with some of the world’s best known organisations to help them innovate, create new flagship products and services, and in so doing, new revenues and new profits. This often involves helping large organisations learn from, partner with, and invest in and acquire startups. Takeout has offices in London and New York, and a satellite team in San Francisco and has worked on projects in the USA, Canada, Brazil, UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, India, China and Australia.
 
Judith has been listed as one of the Top Digital Powerbrokers in the UK by Wired Magazine, as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Britons in Technology (Daily Telegraph), a Global Top 50 Women to Watch in Technology (Femmeonomics), finalist for Cosmpolitan Woman of the Year, one of WIE’s 50 Global Exceptional Women and has been listed for two years as one of Inspiring Fifty’s top most inspirational EU women in Tech.
 
As an entrepreneur, Judith became an early proponent of online social networking as co-founder of Moonfruit.com. Formed in 1999, the company was backed by prominent European and US investors and won several awards including a BBC award for best online design, an online BAFTA nomination and, in 2006, was named an eSuperbrand. Moonfruit was acquired by Yell in 2012. She continues her involvement in the UK and US tech sector as an investor in and advisor to a range of startups.
 
In the social enterprise sector, she is the co-founder of Livekind, a registered charity focused on funding projects to heal inequality for children, women, animals and the environment, a co-founder of the “Once a Month Bunch”, a new movement of businesses who commit to doing something once a month to help others, and a trustee of Police Now who’s mission it is to transform communities, reduce crime and increase the public's confidence in policing, by recruiting and developing outstanding and diverse individuals to be leaders in society and on the policing frontline.
 
Judith is also Founder of Glasshouse an organisation providing support, inspiration and networking for entrepreneurs, investors and digital innovators. Glasshouse was founded in London in 1998 and has held events all over the world – London, New York, San Francisco and beyond.
 
Judith started her career as a management consultant at Arthur Andersen. She followed this by a stint on the management team at Pret a Manger and also worked with Lord Philip Gould of Brockwood who was a strategy advisor to Prime Minister Tony Blair and President Bill Clinton. She has a first class degree in Management Science from Warwick Business School.
