Biography

Wolfgang Erharter is a project manager with Malik Management, a Swiss premium consultancy. He focuses on international innovation and change projects as well as organizational and management development.

Initially, Wolfgang studied classical violin in Vienna and worked as a musician in several ensembles. Through his music teachings however, he became interested in coaching people, and subsequently in the field of consulting.

While in Croatia during the Yugoslav war in the mid 1990ies, he set up his own consultancy and, after his return to Austria, worked mainly for Anglo-Saxon consultancies all over Europe. During these years, he became interested in systems thinking, and also in the writings of Peter F. Drucker, whose writings became an invaluable resource, professionally as well as personally. When challenging the latest management fads with executives, Wolfgang often refers to Drucker’s work as the ‘Roman law of management’.

Wolfgang Erharter lives in Vienna with his wife and his two children, and he regularly enriches his keynote speeches with his violin.”
