Biography

With effect from 1st September 2005, Georg Knoth, born 1966, was appointed as CEO & Regional Executive of GE in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In this function, he is a member of GE’s European Corporate Executive Council.

Since he joined GE in 1998, Knoth has held various managerial positions at GE Capital in New York.
He also headed up GE’s capital market activities in South America.

Prior to joining GE, Knoth was responsible for structured finance at Bank of New York’s International Banking Division.

In addition, Georg Knoth is board member of the German branch of the American Chamber of Commerce
(AmCham Germany), the largest bilateral economic association in Europe, and board member of ZVEI,
the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association.

Georg Knoth received his MBA from the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
