Peter Day was born in Norfolk in 1947 and educated at Lincoln School and the University of Oxford. He joined BBC Radio News in 1974. In 1988, he became the presenter of the Radio 4 programme 'In Business' with a mandate to seek out the trends influencing the working world. Peter has that rare ability of making listeners interested in subjects they didn’t realise they cared about. Since 2000 he has also presented the BBC World Service’s Global Business.
